That was the question that sparked the beginning of something new at Lost Poem.

When I first started my jewelry brand, I shared my early designs with friends—both men and women—for feedback. The women lit up instantly. "I’d wear this every day!" they said, offering supportive and constructive suggestions.

The men, however, hesitated.

“They’re beautiful,” one told me, “my girlfriend or mom would love them.”

“Yes,” I asked, “but do you like them?”

He paused. “They’re nice, but… you know, men don’t really wear pearls.”

That comment stuck with me. What is stopping men from wearing pearl jewelry?

We live in a time where gender stereotypes are rapidly fading. In many parts of the world—especially here in the Nordics—men are encouraged to express vulnerability, creativity, and emotional depth.
