Born from a single pearl, a thousand intentions.
Every piece I make is a quiet letter — to the woman who wears it, and to the world I want to leave behind.
Varje smycke jag skapar är ett stilla brev — till den kvinna som bär det, och till den värld jag vill lämna efter mig.

The Beginning
I didn't set out to start a brand.
I set out to make something true.
My name is Yang Mengqi, and I'm the founder and creative director of Lost Poem. I was born with a sensitivity to beautiful things, the kind that makes you pause in front of a window display, or turn a piece of jewelry over in your palm just to feel the weight of it.
When I moved to Uppsala to study entrepreneurship, I carried that sensitivity with me. Sweden taught me something I hadn't expected: that restraint can be its own form of beauty. That simplicity, when it comes from intention, is never plain. I began to see the Swedish landscape , its pale winters, its quiet forests , reflected in the jewelry I wanted to make. Something natural. Something lasting. Something that didn't shout.
In 2023, Lost Poem was born.
"A pearl takes years to form inside the dark. Quietly, patiently , layer by layer. I think that's how meaningful things are built."
Why Pearls
Pearls chose me as much
as I chose them.
I've always been drawn to pearls — not the stiff, uniform strands of another era, but the quiet individuality of a single natural pearl, with its own colour, its own surface, its own history. Each one is the result of time and irritation transformed into something unexpectedly beautiful. To me, that's a story worth wearing.
At Lost Poem, every piece is made using natural freshwater pearls, sourced with attention to quality and provenance. I work in small batches , sometimes only ten or twenty pieces of a single design , because I believe the person who wears it deserves something that wasn't made for everyone.
Sustainability
Making beautifully means
making responsibly.
I've never been able to separate beauty from ethics. For me, a piece of jewelry that harms the environment or the people who made it isn't truly beautiful , no matter how it looks. That's a belief I built Lost Poem on from the very first day.
We use sterling silver and gold-plated metals chosen for their durability and low environmental footprint. Our natural freshwater pearls come from farms that work with the rhythm of nature rather than against it. I design for longevity , not for trends that will feel dated in six months. Because I believe the most sustainable piece of jewelry is one you keep wearing for years.
We ship in packaging that can be reused, recycled, or composted. We don't overproduce. And I'm always learning , always looking for ways to do this better.
What We Stand For
The four principles behind every piece.
01
Handcrafted Intention
Every piece passes through my hands. Small batches. No cutting corners. The time spent on each design is visible in the result.
02
Natural Materials
Real freshwater pearls, sterling silver, and thoughtfully sourced metals. Nothing that harms the planet to make you beautiful.
03
Timeless over Trendy
I design pieces that outlast seasons. The goal is a jewelry box you build slowly, with pieces that feel meaningful ten years from now.
04
Allergy-Safe Always
Lost Poem jewelry is nickel-free and hypoallergenic, because beauty should never come at the price of comfort.
A Personal Note
I want you to feel something
when you open the box.
When I pack an order, I think about who will receive it. Maybe it's a gift to yourself on a hard Tuesday. Maybe it's something you'll wear on your wedding day. Maybe it's the first real piece of jewelry you've ever owned. I don't know your story , but I care about it.
That's why every Lost Poem order comes in a jewelry box. Not because it's expected, but because unboxing something beautiful is its own small ceremony , and you deserve one.
Thank you for being here. For reading this far. For caring about where your jewelry comes from and who made it. Building Lost Poem has been one of the most honest things I've ever done, and you are the reason it keeps growing.
